Volker Bertelmann (Conclave, All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, The Amateur, Adrift, Hotel Mumbai, Patrick Melrose, One Life) has made his animated feature scoring debut on Mack Magic’s upcoming Grand Prix of Europe. The film is directed by Waldemar Fast and features the voices of Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Gemma Arterton, Hayley Atwell, Lenny Henry and Rob Beckett. The movie follows a racing car-obsessed young mouse who must disguise herself as her idol and take his place to compete in the Grand Prix to save her family’s amusement park. Kirstie Falkous (Monster Family 2), Jeffrey Hylton and John T. Reynolds wrote the screenplay with Ben-Alexander Safier. Michael Mack is producing the project. Grand Prix of Europe will open in German theaters on July 24 and is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on August 22 by Viva Pictures.
