Almaphonic has released a soundtrack album for the drama Red Path (Les enfants rouges). The album features the film’s original music composed by Venceslas Catz & Jawhar Basti. Red Path is co-written and directed by Lotfi Achour and stars Ali Hleli, Yassine Samouni and Wided Dabebi. The movie is set in Tunisia’s Mghila Mountains and follows a 13-year-old girl who witnesses the tragic death of his cousin at the hands of jihadist terrorists and – forced to return home with the cousin’s severed head as a warning to their community – embarks on a psychological journey to cope with the profound trauma and loss. The drama premiered at last year’s Locarno Film Festival (and also screened at several other film festivals in late 2024) and just opened in French theaters earlier this month.
