Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Simon of the Mountain (Simón de la montaña). The album features the film’s original score composed by Hernán González Villamil (Home Team, Night Watch, Como el mar). Also included is the song Tender Dawn by Loud Neighbor. Simon of the Mountain is co-written and directed by Federico Luis and stars Lorenzo Ferro, Pehuén Pedre, Kiara Supini, Agustín Toscano, Laura Nevole and Camila Hirane. The movie revolves around a young man grappling with the challenges of a mental disorder. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Critics’ Week Grand Prize, was released in several South American markets last fall and is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic release.
