Quartet Records has announced the world premiere release of two scores from 1970s cult movies from American International Pictures. The album features the original music from the 1976 sci-fi thriller The Food of the Gods written and directed by Bert I. Gordon and starring Marjoe Gortner, Pamela Franklin, Ralph Meeker & Jon Cypher composed by Elliot Kaplan (Fantasy Island, Cry Blood, Apache, Then Came Bronson, Voyagers), as well as the score from the 1972 horror film Frogs directed by George McCowan and starring Ray Milland, Sam Elliott, Joan Van Ark, Adam Roarke & Judy Pace composed by Les Baxter (House of Usher, Black Sunday, The Beast Within, Baron Blood). The CD is limited to 1,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and find out more about the release. The Food of the Gods is now available on Blu-ray and DVD and Frogs is available to stream on Freevee and to purchase on Blu-ray and DVD.
