Colin Stetson (Hereditary, The Menu, The First, Color Out of Space, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) has composed the original score for the upcoming horror thriller Hold Your Breath. The film is directed by Will Joines & Karrie Crouse and stars Sarah Paulson, Annaleigh Ashford, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Bill Heck and Amiah Miller. The movie is set in 1930s Oklahoma amid the region’s horrific dust storms and centers on a woman who is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family. Crouse also wrote the screenplay. Alix Madigan (Winter’s Bone, White Bird in a Blizzard) and Lucas Joaquin (Love Is Strange, Selah and the Spades) are producing the Searchlight Pictures production. Stetson has previously scored the Joaquin-prodced feature Mayday. Hold Your Breath will premiere on October 3, 2024 exclusively on Hulu.

Stetson’s other recent scoring projects include the anime series Uzumaki, which will premiere on September 28 on Adult Swim.
