Prime Video has announced the track list of the soundtrack album for the second season of the streamer’s original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The album features selections of the original score from Season 2 composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day). as well as two new songs featuring vocalists Rufus Wainwright and Jens Kidman. Series stars Sophia Nomvete, Benjamin Walker, Rory Kinnear & Daniel Weyman also lend their vocals to several tracks on the soundtrack, which will be released digitally on August 23 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Mutant will release a CD and vinyl edition, which are both now available for pre-order here. As with the first season, following each episode, Amazon Music will release a weekly soundtrack album containing the score for that episode. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is developed by J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay based on stories by J.R.R. Tolkien and also stars Morfydd Clark, Sir Lenny Henry, Sara Zwangobani. Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry Nazanin Boniadi, Charles Edwards, Markella Kavenagh,Trystan Gravelle, Ema Horvath, Megan Richards, Lloyd Owen, Tyroe Muhafidin, Dylan Smith, Leon Wadham and Charlie Vickers.
