Mateo Messina (Juno, Blockers, Tall Girl, The Wrong Missy, Desperados, Superstore, Butter, Barely Lethal) has recently scored the new romantic comedy drama Boot Camp. The film is directed by Mackenzie Munro (Salvation) and stars Rachel Boudwin, Drew Ray Tanner, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Ennis Esmer, Martin Cummins and Rachel Boyd. The movie is inspired by the Wattpad story by Gina Musa and follows a teenager who begins to fall for her off-limits personal trainer after signing up for an intense summer boot camp to reinvent herself. Gemma Holdway wrote the screenplay. Lindsay Macadam (Brain on Fire, Reginald the Vampire) is producing the Wattpad Webtoon Studios and Great Pacific Media production. Boot Camp will be released in select theaters and on VOD on August 2, 2024.
