Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Early Man, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Daisy Jones & the Six, Shrinking) has composed the original score for the upcoming Paramount+ original event series Knuckles. The show is created for television by John Whittington (The Lego Batman Movie, DC League of Super-Pets) & Toby Ascher (Spenser Confidential) based on characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog features and video game series and stars Idris Elba (as the voice of the title character), Adam Pally (as Wade Whipple), Stockard Channing, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Julian Barratt, Ellie Taylor, Cary Elwes, Rory McCann, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel. The 6-parter is set between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & 3 (scored by Tom Holkenborg) and follows Knuckles on a journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. Whittington, Ascher & Elba are also executive producing the project with Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious, 21 Jump Street) and Toru Nakahara, as well as Jeff Fowler who also directed the pilot episode. Knuckles will premiere on April 26, 2024 on Paramount+.
Howe is also expected to return to score the second season of Apple TV+’s Shrinking.
Disappointed that Junkie XL did not compose it.
Didn’t Holkenborg compose the main theme for this?
