Earthsongs Records has released a soundtrack album for the Norwegian/Danish comedy drama A Happy Day. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anthony Lledo ( A Taste of Hunger, Frostbite The Purity of Vengeance, Face to Face). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Check out the composer’s first track (The Mountain) below. A Happy Day is written and directed by Hisham Zaman and stars Salah Qadi, Ravand Ali Taha, Sarah Aman Mentzoni, Mohamed Salah, Hilde Skovdahl and Aryan Pezeshki. The movie revolves around a group of three teenage friends who longing to escape a Norwegian center for young asylum seekers. The dramedy premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and opened in Norwegian theaters last month. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
