WaterTower Music has released the first track from the soundtrack for the action fantasy adventure Mortal Kombat II. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Techno Syndrome 2026, a new version of the Olivier Adams-composed theme song from the 90s game (as featured in the movie’s just released latest trailer) feat. Ed Boon. Also listen to the full track after the jump. A full soundtrack album featuring Benjamin Wallfisch’s original score from the movie will be released next month. Mortal Kombat II is directed by Simon McQuoid and stars Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Lewis Tan, Tati Gabrielle, Damon Herriman, with Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim and Hiroyuki Sanada. The sequel will be released in theaters nationwide on May 8 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
