Campfire (Shane Eli & Jonny Pakfar) are the composers of the new Hulu limited series Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair. The show is based on the original Malcolm in the Middle sitcom created by Linwood Boomer (and scored by Charles Sydnor & They Might Be Giants) and stars Bryan Cranston, Frankie Muniz, Jane Kaczmarek, Justin Berfield, Christopher Kennedy Masterson, Emy Coligad, Vaughan Murrae, Keeley Karsten, Kiana Madeira and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark. The comedy follows Malcolm who is dragged back into their orbit after shielding himself and his daughter from his family for over a decade when Hal and Lois demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party. Boomer is also executive producing the 20th Television & New Regency production with Tracy Katsky Boomer (Santa Clarita Diet, Mr. Robinson), Gail Berman (Elvis, Wednesday), Arnon Milchan (The Revenant, Birdman), Yariv Milchan (Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Blitz), Natalie Lehmann (Man on Fire), as well as Ken Kwapis (He’s Just Not That Into You, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) who also directed all four episodes. The composers/songwriters have previously scored the feature documentaries The Redeem Team & Stans and also contributed original songs to Pixar’s Disney+ series Win or Lose. Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will premiere this Friday, April 10 on Hulu (and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers) in the U.S. and on Disney+ internationally.
