Vertigo Abbey Road Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure The Magic Faraway Tree. The album features the film’s original score composed by Isabella Summers (aka Isa Machine of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, Lisa FrankensteinKAOSLady Chatterley’s Lover, Physical, Dust Bunny. My Oxford YearCall JaneThe OfferHitpig!). Also included is The Family Song co-written by Summers and performed by lead actor Andrew Garfield. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 27. The streaming/download link will be added to this page soon. The Magic Faraway Tree is directed by Ben Gregor and also stars Claire Foy, Nonso Anozie, Nicola Coughlan, Jessica Gunning, Jennifer Saunders and Rebecca Ferguson. The movie based on Enid Blyton’s book series of the same name follows a modern family who forced to relocate to the remote English countryside, where the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents that transports them to spectacular and fantastical lands. The film is opening in UK theaters this weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
