New Fox Music will release a soundtrack album for the body horror feature/satire Slanted. The album features the film’s original score composed by Shirley Song (XO, Kitty, The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star, Exploding Kittens, A Tourist’s Guide to Love, BE@RBRICK). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 13. The streaming/download link will be added to this page within the next day. Slanted is written and directed by Amy Wang and stars Shirley Chen, McKenna Grace, Vivian Wu, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Fang Du, Amelie Zilber, Elaine Hendrix and Keith Harris. The movie follows an insecure Chinese American teenager desperate to fit in who decides to undergo experimental trans-racial surgery to become white in order to secure her chances of winning Prom Queen and the acceptance of her peers. The comedy premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and is being released in theaters this weekend by Bleecker Street & FOX Entertainment Studios.
