Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1980 CBS movie Gauguin the Savage directed by Fielder Cook, written by J.P. Miller and starring David Carradine, Lynn Redgrave, Flora Robson, Ian Richardson and Michael Hordern. The album features the film’s original score composed by by Emmy Award winner Gerald Fried (Star Trek: The Original Series, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Roots, Mission: Impossible, Gilligan’s Island). Also included is Fried’s music from the 1967 CBS documentary Gauguin in Tahiti: The Search for Paradise directed by Martin Carr and narrated by Charles Kuralt. Gauguin and Gerald Fried is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the soundtrack.
