Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the FX original series The Lowdown. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by singer/songwriter and guitarist JD McPherson who has made his scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 6. The streaming/download link will be added to this page soon. The Lowdown is created by Sterlin Harjo and stars Ethan Hawke, Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kaniehtiio Horn, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Michael “Killer Mike” Render, Tim Blake Nelson and Tracy Letts. The neo-noir crime drama revolves around a citizen journalist and self-proclaimed Tulsa “truthstorian” who is committed to exposing corruption and unearthing the city’s hidden rot, even when it puts him at risk. The series premiered last fall on FX and Hulu. A second season is in the works.
