Pathé Films has released a soundtrack album for the French drama A Place for Her (La maison des femmes). The album features the film’s original music composed by Audrey Ismaël (The Path of Excellence, Consent, The Kingdom, Germinal, BAHD, Gloria, Chacun pour tous). A Place for Her is co-written and directed by Melisa Godet and stars Karin Viard, Laetitia Dosch, Oulaya Amamra, Eye Haïdara, Juliette Armanet, Pierre Deladonchamps, Jean-Charles Clichet, Alexandra Roth, Laurent Stocker and Aure Atika. The movie tells the story of a dedicated doctor and her team as they are striving to keep their women’s shelter open and to help women heal from abuse. The drama premiered at last year’s Marrakech International Film Festival and will be released in French theaters this Wednesday, March 4.
