Little Twig Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Idiotka. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, The Walking Dead: Dead City, Dickinson, Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, One of Us Is Lying,Rosaline, Good Girls, Night Teeth). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 27 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Idiotka is written and directed by Nastasya Popov and stars Anna Baryshnikov, Camila Mendes, Benito Skinner, Mark Ivanir, Owen Thiele, Julia Fox, Saweetie, Galina Jovovich, Nerses Stamos and Ilia Volok. The movie tells the story of a disgraced fashion designer with a dangerously low credit score who enters a reality show with a six-figure cash prize to save her babushka’s West Hollywood apartment, but as the competition intensifies, a slick producer pushes her to spin her family’s struggle into spectacle. The comedy premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and will be released in New York tomorrow by Utopia before expanding to more markets in the coming weeks.
