Composer Gavin Brivik (The Pitt, Wild Indian, Barron’s CoveThe Seventh DayMinor PremiseLiving Undocumented) is reteaming with director Daniel Goldhaber on the upcoming horror feature Faces of Death. The film is based on the 1978 cult classic of the same title and stars Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Jermaine Fowler, Aaron Holliday and Charli XCX. The movie follows a woman working as a content moderator for a major video platform who discovers what appears to be re-enactments of murders from the original film and must determine whether the violence is fiction, or unfolding in real time. Goldhaber also co-wrote the screenplay with Isa Mazzei. The project is produced by Legendary Entertainment, as well as Don Murphy (Transformers, Natural Born Killers) & Susan Montford (Real Steel, Vampire Academy) for Angry Films and Adam Hendricks (Heart Eyes, Lucky) & Greg Gilreath (Vengeance, The Voyeurs) for Divide/Conquer. Brivik has previously scored Goldhaber’s first two features, Cam & How to Blow Up a Pipeline. Faces of Death will be released in theaters on April 10, 2026 by the Independent Film Company & Shudder.

Brivik’s other recent projects include the second season of HBO Max’s The Pitt. He has also scored the upcoming thriller Sender written and directed by Russell Goldman and starring Britt Lower, Rhea Seehorn, Jamie Lee Curtis, Anna Baryshnikov, Utkarsh Ambudkar, David Dastmalchian, Mike Mitchell and Edward Torres. The movie follows a woman who receives a series of unwanted packages containing unnervingly targeted items and tumbles down a paranoid rabbit hole to find her mysterious sender. Lee Curtis is also producing the project with Molly Hallam (The Mustang, Bad Behaviour) and Jake Katofsky (108 Stitches). Sender will premiere next month at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival.
