Königskinder has released a soundtrack album for the German comedy drama The Empty Nesters (Die Ältern). The album features the film’s original music composed by Helmut Zerlett (How About Adolf?, Family Affairs, Granny Nanny, Der Clown, Victor and the Secret of Crocodile Mansion). The Empty Nesters is directed by Sönke Wortmann and stars Sebastian Bezzel, Anna Schudt and Kya-Celina Barucki. The movie follows a successful author whose whole life turns upside down when his publisher cancels his next book series, his son is struggling to make good enough grades to graduate, and his daughter decides to move out, prompting his wife Sara to take a break from their stale marriage. The dramedy is opening in German theaters today.
