Ludwig Göransson has won the SCL Award in the Outstanding Original Score in a Studio Film category for his music from Ryan Coogler’s Sinners at tonight’s 7th Annual Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards. In the Outstanding Original Score for an Independent Film category, Bryce Dessner received the award for his score from Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams. In the Outstanding Original Song for Visual Media categories, Göransson & Raphael Saadiq were honored for the song I Lied to You from Sinners (drama/documentary category) and EJAE & Mark Sonnenblick won the award for Golden from the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters (comedy/musical category). As announced prior to the awards presentation, Göransson & Coogler also received the 2026 Spirit of Collaboration Award.
Cristobal Tapia de Veer won the award for his Season 3 theme from HBO’s The White Lotus in the Outstanding Original Title Sequence for a Television Production category and Theodore Shapiro was honored for his music from the second season of Apple TV’s Severance in the Outstanding Original Score for a Television Production category.
