Cinevox Records has released a soundtrack album for the Italian historical drama Elena’s War (Elena del ghetto). The album features the film’s original music composed by Matteo Curallo (I, Leonardo, Under the Amalfi Sun, Pink Lady, Here We Are, Michelangelo – Infinito). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. Elena’s War is co-written and directed by Stefano Casertano and stars Micaela Ramazzotti, Florence Guérin and Giulia Bevilacqua. The movie tells the true story of Elena Di Porto, a fiercely independent Roman Jewish woman – branded “Elena the Crazy” for her scandalous rejection of social norms – who defied fascism and risked everything to save lives. The drama premiered at last year’s Rome Film Festival and just opened in Italian theaters last weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
