98th Academy Awards Nominations Announced

oscars9 This morning, the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards were announced. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of the last year will be presented on Oscar Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live in the U.S. on the ABC Television Network, streamed live on Hulu and in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. Here are the music-related nominations:

Among the score composers, Jerskin Fendrix received his second nomination, Alexandre Desplat (previous winner for The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Shape of Water) received his twelfth nomination, Jonny Greenwood received his third nomination and Ludwig Göransson (previous winner for Black Panther & Oppenheimer) received his third nomination. Max Richter is the only first time nominee.
