Roc Chen (The Wandering Earth, Ne Zha 2, Chinese Zodiac, 7 Guardians of the Tomb, Switch, Stoker Hills, Sacrifice) has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese comedy drama Unexpected Family. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Unexpected Family is co-written and directed by Li Taiyan and stars Jackie Chan, Peng Yuchang, Pan Binlong, Zhang Jianing and Li Ping. The movie follows young man from a small town who flees to Beijing to escape his own troubled family background, when he rosses paths with an old man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease who mistakes him for his son. The dramedy was released in Chinese theaters earlier this month. No word yet on a domestic release.
