Mute Records has released a soundtrack album for the British documentary Scala!!!. The album features the film’s original music composed by Barry Adamson (Delusion, The Escort, Shuttlecock), original member of Magazine and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The soundtrack is now available both digitally and physically. Visit Amazon to order the vinyl edition, CD and digital version. Also listen to the composer’s opening titles track after the jump. Scala!!! is directed by Ali Catterall & Jane Giles and tells the story of the titular legendary King’s Cross repertory cinema (1978–1993). The movie features interviews with staff, regulars and icons including John Waters, Ben Wheatley, Mark Moore, Mary Harron & Isaac Julien, alongside rare archival footage to celebrate a venue that became a crucible for counterculture, horror, kung-fu, sexploitation, LGBTQ+ cinema, live music, and cult double bills. The documentary premiered at several film festivals in 2023 and was released on Blu-ray the following year.
