Hannah Peel (Rogue AgentBring Them Down,  Scoop,InsomniaThe Midwich Cuckoos, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, Silent RoarThe Deceived) has composed the original music for the upcoming Australian supernatural body horror feature Saccharine. The film is written and directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic, Apartment 7A) and stars Midori Francis, Danielle Macdonald and Madeleine Madden. The movie revolves around a lovelorn medical student who becomes terrorized by a hungry ghost after taking part in an obscure weight loss craze: eating human ashes.James is also producing the project with Anna McLeish & Sarah Shaw (Snowtown, Run Rabbit Run). Saccharine will premiere this week at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and has just been picked up by the Independent Film Company & Shudder for a domestic release later this year.

Peel’s other recent projects include Polly Findlay’s Midwinter Break, which will by released in U.S. theaters on February 20 by Focus Features.
