Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish historical fantasy drama The Night (Gaua). The album features the film’s original music composed by Aránzazu Calleja (The Platform, Birdboy: The Forgotten Children, Breaking Walls, Coven) & Maite Arroitajauregi (Irati, Foremost by Night, Subsuelo,Mercenario). The Night is written and directed by Paul Urkijo Alijo and stars Yune Nogueiras, Elena Irureta, Ane Gabarain and Iñake Irastorza. The movie is set in the 17th-century Basque mountains and follows a young woman who flees her farmhouse to escape her husband, when she encounters three women as they share frightening village gossip and supernatural tales. The drama premiered in Spanish theaters last November following a premiere at the 2025 Sitges Film Festival. No word yet on a domestic release.
