Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man, Eternals, Pacific Rim, Uncharted, Clash of the Titans, A Wrinkle in Time) has composed the original music for the new sci-fi thriller Mercy. The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Nightwatch) and stars Chris Pratt, Rebecca Ferguson, Kali Reis, Annabelle Wallis, Kylie Rogers and Chris Sullivan. The movie is set in the near future and revolves around a detective who stands on trial accused of murdering his wife and has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced A.I. Judge he once championed, before it determines his fate. Marco van Belle (Arthur & Merlin) wrote the screenplay. Bekmaabetov is also producing the project with Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven (The Dark Knight, Oppenheimer), Robert Amidon and Majd Nassif. Mercy will be released in theaters nationwide next Friday, January 23, 2026 by Amazon MGM Studios.
Djawadi’s other upcoming feature projects include DC Studios’ Supergirl. He also continues to score HBO’s House of the Dragon, which will return for a third season, Prime Video’s Fallout, which has recently been renewed for a third season and Netflix’s 3 Body Problem, which has also been renewed for a second and third season.
