Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, Heels, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, The Kominsky Method, White House Plumbers, CSI: Miami, Playdate, The Franchise, Just Friends) is the composer of the new Fox comedy drama Best Medicine. The show is developed by Liz Tuccillo (Divorce, Take Care) based on the ITV format Doc Martin and stars Josh Charles, Annie Potts, Abigail Spencer, Josh Segarra and Cree. The series revolves around a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village, where he meets the eclectic townspeople, including a charming schoolteacher, a lovable Sheriff and his inept but endearing assistant. Tuccillo is also executive producing the FOX Entertainment production with Ben Silverman (The Office, Ugly Betty), Rodney Ferrell (Stick, Lulu Is a Rhinoceros), Howard T. Owens (Charmed, Blood & Treasure), Mark Crowdy (Doc Martin, Saving Grace) and Philippa Braithwaite (Sliding Doors, Staggered). Best Medicine will premiere next Sunday, January 4, 2026 on Fox before moving to its regular Tuesday night time slot on January 6.
Cardoni also continues to score CBS’ Ghosts, which currently airs its fifth season every Thursday night, as well as Netflix’s Ransom Canyon, which will return for its second season next year.
