Laura Karpman (American FictionCaptain America: Brave New WorldThe Marvels, Paris Can Wait, Miss MarvelWhat If…?, Duster, Marvel Zombies, Set It Up) is composing the original score for the upcoming documentary Give Me the Ball! The film is directed by Liz Garbus (Lost Girls, Bobby Fischer Against the World) & Elizabeth Wolff (I’ll Be Gone in the Dark) and centers on world champion tennis trailblazer Billie Jean King has had a game-changing impact on culture and sports. The movie features rare archive and candid interviews with  Jean and those closest to her reveal how one woman put changing the world ahead of saving herself. Garbus & Wolff are also producing the project with Dominic Crossley-Holland (The Pigeon Tunnel, Babies), Dan Cogan (Icarus, Sally), Chris James (The Dynasty: New England Patriots) and Gentry Kirby. Give Me the Ball! will premiere next month at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.

Karpman’s other recent projects include Apple TV’s Down Cemetery Road, which just premiered its season finale today and is expected to be renewed for a second season.
