Lux Vide has released a soundtrack album for the event series Sandokan. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by the Italian cinematic funk band Calibro 35 (Blanc, Sogni di Gloria). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the title song based on the theme from the original the 1976 series of the same title and the first score track after the jump. Sandokan is developed by Alessandro Sermoneta, Scott Rosenbaum & Davide Lantieri and stars Can Yaman, Alanah Bloor, Alessandro Preziosi, Ed Westwick, John Hannah, Owen Teale, Madeleine Price, Lucy Gaskell, Matt McCooey, Gilberto Gliozzi, Samuele Segreto, Mark Grosy and Sergej Onopko. The adventure drama is based on the iconic series of novels by Emilio Salgari and follows the titular pirate as he is fighting for the survival of his crew, but when a raid brings him into contact with the independent, restless daughter of the British consul in Labuan, their kindred spirits ignite in a passion that will transform both their lives forever. The series just premiered in Italy last night on Rai 1 and is set to debut in several other international markets over the next months. No word yet on a domestic premiere date.
