Lakeshore Records has released the original song The Gift from the drama Sarah’s Oil. The track co-written (with Christopher A Stewart, Ben Parris, Liz Lokre & Ciara Harris) and performed by Tamar Braxton is now available to stream/download exclusively on Amazon Music. Sarah’s Oil is co-written and directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh and stars Zachary Levi, Naya Desir-Johnson, Sonequa Martin-Green, Mel Rodriguez, Garret Dillahunt, Kenric Green and Bridget Regan. The movie is inspired by the true story of Sarah Rector, an African American girl born in Oklahoma Indian Territory in the early 1900s, who believes there is oil beneath the barren land she’s allotted and whose faith is proven right. The drama (scored by Kathryn Bostic) is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Amazon MGM Studios.
