Los Años Luz Discos has released a soundtrack album for the Argentine/Spanish/Mexican supernatural horror coming-of-age drama The Virgin of the Quarry Lake (La Virgen de la Tosquera). The album features the film’s original music composed by Pedro Onetto (The Sleepwalkers, The Silent Party, Follow, Today We Fix the World, The Adopters). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. The Virgin of the Quarry Lake is directed by Laura Casabé and stars Dolores Oliverio, Luisa Merelas, Fernanda Echevarría, Agustín Sosa and Dady Brieva. The movie revolves around three teenagers from the outskirts of Buenos Aires who all fall in love with the same guy, when one of them turns to witchcraft to give herself an upper hand. The drama premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in Argentine theaters this coming weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
