Platoon will release a soundtrack album for Paul Greengrass’ survival drama The Lost Bus. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard (The Hunger GamesKing Kong, The Sixth Sense, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The FugitiveSigns, Maleficent, The Village). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 19 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Lost Bus is co-written and directed by Greengrass and stars Matthew McConaughey, America Ferrera, Yul Vazquez, Spencer Watson and Ashlie Atkinson. The movie is based on events that transpired during the California Camp Fire and chronicles a wayward school bus driver’s and a dedicated school teacher’s battle to save 22 children from the terrifying inferno. The drama, which premiered earlier this month at the Toronto International Film Festival, is being released in select theaters this weekend before making its streaming debut on October 3 on Apple TV+.
