Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of UltronIron Man 3, Crazy Rich AsiansThor: The Dark WorldYellowstoneNow You See Me) is returning to score Illumination Entertainment’s upcoming animated sequel The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The film is directed by Aaron Horvath & Michael Jelenic (who previously helmed 2023′ original movie) and features the voices of Chris Pratt (as Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (as Princess Peach), Charlie Day (as Luig), Jack Black (as Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (as Toad) and Kevin Michael Richardson (as Kamek). No plot details have been announced yet. Matthew Fogel (Minions: The Rise of Gru) is writing the screenplay. Chris Meledandri (Despicable Me, Minion) is producing the project for Illumination, alongside Shigeru Miyamoto forNintendo. Tyler hsa previously scored 2023’s original The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be released on April 3, 2026 by Universal Pictures.

Tyler’s other recent projects include James Vanberbilt’s Nuremberg, which just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released on November 7 by Sony Pictures Classics. He also has Ruben Fleischer’s Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (to be released on November 14) coming up.
