Ames Bessada (Black Mirror: Joan Is Awful & Common People, I Used to Be Funny, Holly Hobbie) is the composer of the new Acorn TV original series Irish Blood. The show is created by Christina Ray & Aaron Martin (Another Life, Hell Motel) and stars Alicia Silverstone, Jason O’Mara, Wendy Crewson, Simone Kirby, Ruth Codd, Dearbhla Molloy and Leonardo Taiwo. The 6-part crime drama revolves around an L.A. divorce lawyer who receives a mysterious package from her estranged father and travels to Ireland to uncover the truth, only to find herself entangled in a web of family secrets, lies, and danger. Ray, Martin & Silverstone are also executive producing the Shaftesbury and Deadpan Pictures production with Christina Jennings & Scott Garvie (Murdoch Mysteries, Departures), Paul Donovan & Ailish McElmeel (Northern Lights), as well as Molly McGlynn (Fitting In, Mary Goes Round) who also directed the series. Irish Blood will premiere this coming Monday, August 11 on Acorn TV.
