Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the Taiwanese crime thriller Gangs of Taïwan (Locust). The album features the film’s original score composed by Yoshihiro Hanno (Mountains May DepartThe Best Is Yet to Come, Revolver Lily Winter Boy). Also included are two tracks by Meuko Meuko. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to Hanno’s main theme below. Gangs of Taïwan is written and directed by Keff and stars Liu Wei Chen, Rimong Ihwar, Devin Pan, An-shun Yu, Yi Jung Wu and Nien-Hsien. The movie takes place during the 2019 Hong Kong protests and follows a young silent man in Taiwan who leads a double life, working at a family restaurant by day, and running with a group of local gangsters by night. The drama premiered at last year’s Cannes Critics’ Week and is opening in French theaters today.
