Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Adrianne & the Castle. The album features the film’s original music composed by Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry (The Iron Claw, Eileen, The Nest, The Actor). Also included is the original song Death Defying Love by Little Scream & Woodpigeon. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 30. Adrianne & the Castle is directed by Shannon Walsh and centers on Alan St-George, a mascot-maker and artist in rural Illinois who built an ornate and elaborate castle with his late wife Adrianne and – since her death in 2006 – continues to put the finishing touches on Havencrest Castle, which stands as a “temple” dedicated to their transcendent love. The movie premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and was released in select theaters last fall.
