La Casa del Sombrero will release a soundtrack album for the drama In the Summers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Eduardo Cabra (of the Puerto Rican alternative hip-hop band Calle 13) and featuring lyrics by Sebastian Otero. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. In the Summers is written and directed by Alessandra Lacorazza and stars René “Residente” Pérez Joglar, Sasha Calle, Sharlene Cruz, Lío Mehiel, Leslie Grace, Emma Ramos, Allison Salinas, Kimaya Thais Limon, Dreya Castillo and Luciana Elisa Quiñonez. The movie follows two siblings who travel to New Mexico every year to spend time and – over the course of four formative summers –  learn to accept him. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it received the Grand Jury Prize in the U.S. Dramatic category, was released in select theaters last fall by Music Box Films and is now also available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
