Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the horror comedy Hell of a Summer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jay McCarrol (BlackBerry, The Kid Detective, The Dirties, Operation Avalanche). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download only in the U.S. on most major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. Hell of a Summer is directed by Finn Wolfhard & Billy Byrk and stars Fred Hechinger, Wolfhard & Bryk themselves, Abby Quinn, Pardis Saremi, Rosebud Baker, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Adam Pally and Krista Nazaire. The movie follows a 24-year-old camp counselor thinking his biggest problem is that he feels out of touch with his teenage co-workers, when he learns that a masked killer is lurking on the campgrounds, brutally picking counselors off one by one. The comedy, which premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, was released in theaters in early April by Neon and is now also available on VOD.
