The Newton Brothers (Daredevil: Born Again, X-Men ’97The Haunting of Hill HouseDoctor Sleep, The Fall of the House of UsherThe Forever Purge) are returning to score the upcoming supernatural horror sequel Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. The film is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon) who previously helmed the original 2023 original movie and stars Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, Matthew Lillard and Elizabeth Lail who are all reprising their roles from the first installment based on Scott Cawthon’s blockbuster game series. No plot details have been announced yet. Blumhouse’s Jason Blum (Get Out, Insidious, Halloween) is producing the project with Cawthon. The Newton Brothers’ score from the first movie has been released by Back Lot Music & iam8bit. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will be released in theaters nationwide on December 5, 2025 by Universal Pictures.

Also coming up for the composers are new seasons of Marvel’s Disney+ shows Daredevil: Born Again and X-Men ’97. They have also scored Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck, which premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in theaters on May 30 by Neon.
