Nina Humphreys (Kat and the Band, Warrior Queen, Sword of Honour, The Lakes) & Nainita Desai (For Sama, Nautilus, The Deepest Breath, The Tower, The Reason I JumpCrossfire, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU) have released a soundtrack album for the documentary Call Me Dancer. The album features the composers’ original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on most major digital music services, including Amazon. Call Me Dancer is directed by Leslie Shampaine & Pip Gilmour and centers on a street dancer from Mumbai who struggles against his parents’ insistence that he follow a traditional path, when he meets a curmudgeonly Israeli ballet master who inspires him to follow his dreams. The movie premiered at the 2023 Santa Barbara International Film Festival and was released in select U.S. theaters in late 2023 by Abramorama.
