Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1965 British comedy The Knack…and How to Get It directed by Richard Lester and starring Rita Tushingham, Ray Brooks, Michael Crawford and Donal Donnelly. The 60th Anniversary Archival Edition features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Goldfinger, Out of Africa, Somewhere in TimeThe Man with the Golden Gun, Body Heat), including a remastered version of the re-recording for the original soundtrack album, as well as the premiere release of most of the film versions of the score. Also included is Alan Haven’s single version of the title track arranged and conducted by Barry and Crawford’s performance of the Leslie Bricusse lyrics. The CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. The Knack…and How to Get It is now available on VOD, Bluray and DVD.
