The album features the film’s original music composed by Keiichi Suzuki (Outrage, Beyond Outrage, Okko’s Inn, EarthBound). Ghost Cat Anzu is directed by Yōko Kuno & Nobuhiro Yamashita and follow a young girl whose father abandons her at a temple in rural Japan, when she meets a giant and notoriously lazy “ghost cat” tasked with looking after her who accidentally makes a deal with the devil. The movie, which premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, opened in Japan last summer and was released in select U.S. theaters in November by GKIDS. he film is now also available on VOD and Blu-ray.
