Claudia Sarne (Shining Girls, The Book of Eli, Triple 9, Earthquake Bird, Broken CityDispatches from Elsewhere) is scoring the upcoming HBO documentary series The Yogurt Shop Murders. The show is directed by Margaret Brown (Descendant, The Great Invisible) and explores the tragic murder of four teenage girls at an “I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt” Shop on December 6, 1991 in Austin, TX. The 4-parter features interviews with family members, suspects and investigators, as well as archival footage to reveal a crime scene ravaged by fire and water, an overwhelmed police department, and a terrified city. Brown is also executive producing the A24 and Frui Treet production with Nicole Stott (The Sunshine Makers), Emily Osborne (Home, Steve! (Martin): A Documentary in 2 Pieces), Emma Stone & Dave McCary (A Real Pain, Problemista), Ali Herting (I Saw the TV Glow, Bodies Bodies Bodies, .Mickey Stanley and Beth Garrabrant. The first episode of  The Yogurt Shop Murders will premiere next week at the SXSW Film Festival and the full series is expected to premiere in the coming months on HBO.
