Bonne Pioche Music has released a soundtrack album for the French drama The Future Awaits (La vie devant moi). The album features the film’s original music composed by Baptiste & Pierre Colleu (The Ideal Palace, An Ordinary Mother, Christ(Off)) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. The Future Awaits is co-written and directed by Nils Tavernier and stars Guillaume Gallienne, Adeline d’Hermy, Violette Guillon, Claude Mathieu and Sandrine Bonnaire. The movie tells the story of Tauba Birenbaum, a Holocaust survivor who – in July 1942 during the Vel’ d’Hiv’ Roundup of Jewish families in Paris – found refuge in a tiny room for the next 765 days. The drama is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
