Hollywood Bowl 2025 Summer Season Schedule Announced

hollywood-bowlThe Hollywood Bowl has announced this summer’s season schedule, which includes a number of film music concerts. On Saturday, July 6, David Newman will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic for Jaws in Concert, a live-to-picture performance of John Williams’ Academy Award-winning film score for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 classic movie (click here for more details). On July 11 & 12, Bugs Bunny at the Symphony will return to the Bowl, celebrating Bugs Bunny’s 85th (and this concert’s 35th) anniversaries. Over a dozen classic animated shorts will be projected on the big screen while the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (conducted by George Daugherty) plays the original scores live (visit the Bowl’s website for more information). On July 15, the Bowl will host the premiere of The Cinematic Scores of Alexandre Desplat, a concert featuring two-time Academy Award winner conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic for a career-spanning program of his most popular and cherished film scores, including The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla, The Imitation Game, The Girl with the Pearl Earring, Pinocchio, Birth, a suite of his scores for Wes Anderson films & others (click here for more details). On August 8 & 9, Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the LA Phil for Jurassic Park Live in Concert, a live-to-picture performance of John Williams’ score for Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic movie (visit the Bowl’s website for more information). On August 22, 23 & 24, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductor David Newman will once again salute one of Hollywood’s living legends with three performances of John Williams: Maestro of the Movies, featuring some of Williams’ biggest hits and other classics of the silver screen (click here for more details). On September 10, Black Movie Soundtrack returns to the Bowl for its fifth edition. Comic/actor Craig Robinson, bassist Marcus Miller and film producer Reginald Hudlin are collaborating with Derrick Hodge and Color of Noize Orchestra for a night of film music of all time featuring special guests and film clips (visit the Bowl’s website for more information).
