Kris Bowers Wins SCL Award for ‘The Wild Robot’ Score

Kris Bowers has received his first SCL Award in the Outstanding Original Score in a Studio Film category for his music from DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot at tonight’s 6th Annual Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards. In the Outstanding Original Score for an Independent Film category, Daniel Blumberg has received the award for his Oscar-nominated score from Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist. In the Outstanding Original Song for Visual Media categories, Diane Warren was honored for her song The Journey (performed by H.E.R.) from the Netflix film The Six Triple Eight (drama category) and Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross & Luca Guadagnino won the award for the song Compress/Repress from Guadagnino’s Challengers (comedy/musical category). As announced prior to the awards presentation, composer Harry Gregson-Williams and director Ridley Scott received the 2025 Spirit of Collaboration Award.
