Dominik Scherrer (The Tourist, The Missing, The Widow, Primeval, Baptiste, Ripper Street, The Serpent, The Confessions of Frannie Langton) is the composer of the new BritBox/ITV series Protection. The show is created by Kris Mrksa (The Murders at White House Farm) and stars Siobhan Finneran, Nadine Marshall, Katherine Kelly, Barry Ward, Chaneil Kular, David Hayman, Nichola Burley and Akiya Henry. The 6-part drama follows a witness protection officer as she is balancing a high-stakes job with life-or-death stakes and the demands of her complicated family life. Mrska is also executive producing the New Pictures production with Willow Grylls (The Long Shadow, Cobra), Charlie Hampton (The Spanish Princess, The Deceived) and Elaine Pyke (Dalgliesh, Des). Scherrer has previously collaborated with Mrska on Netflix’s Requiem and Paramount+ UK’s No Escape. Protection is premiering in the U.S. today on BritBox and is expected to debut in the UK in 2025 on ITV and ITVX.
