Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the biographical sports drama The Fire Inside. The album features the film’s Academy Award-shortlisted original score composed by Tamar-kali (Mudbound, Shirley, The Assistant, PalmerThe Lie, The Last Thing He Wanted, Little Richard: I Am Everything, Come Sunday). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 25. The streaming/download link will be added to this article within the next day. The Fire Inside is directed by Rachel Morrison, written and produced by Barry Jenkins and stars Ryan Destiny and Brian Tyree Henry. The movie tells the true story of Claressa Shields, a high school Junior from Flint, Michigan, who – aided by her tough-love coach – pushes past all limitations to become the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing. The drama premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in theaters nationwide tomorrow by Amazon MGM Studios.
