Waxwork Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1979 sci-fi/horror cult classic Phantasm written and directed by Don Coscarelli and starring Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury, Reggie Bannister and Kathy Lester. The album features the premiere release of the film’s complete original score composed by Fred Myrow (Soylent Green, Scarecrow, Hour of the Assassin, Survival Quest) and Malcolm Seagrave, previously unrleased cues from the score recordings sessions, as well as the newly remastered original 1979 score album. The soundtrack, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 45th anniversary, is now available as a triple LP set on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more information about the release. Phantasm is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
